Michael Hunnibell is one of the New Norfolk Football club's favourite sons. Together with his brother
Graeme, he was part of the 1982 premiership win that saw the club win its first premiership since 1968.
Along with his brother Graeme, he had the distinction of being a Lefroy medallist for best player in an interstate game. |

In 1982 he was part of the famous premiership win under Robbie Dykes. This team was famous for the fact it contained four sets of brothers;
Graeme
and Michael Hunnibell, Graeme and Wayne Fox, Ian and Gary Williamson
, and Neville and Rodney Hill. |

He won the club Best and Fairest award in 1977 and in 1986 and was also captain of the Eagles under the coaching of Hedley Thompson during 1986. In 1987 he became coach of the Eagles, combining the roles of captain and coach the following year.
During his stint at the Eagles he played 214 senior games including TFL and state representative games.
He played 262 senior games between the New Norfolk and Glenorchy football
clubs. |

Michael is currently a manager for Transend, a division of Aurora. He is a player life member of the New Norfolk club. |
